It’s the end of the month, and as a part of a new blogging and photography goal I’ve set for myself with BloggingAbroad, I’ve been taking photos based on prompts (and just from life in general), and I wanted to share a few with you! Take a look, read about it, and click to enlarge if you want to see more closely.
#1 Black Sea Dreaming
My flight from Frankfurt to Istanbul took us on a long detour over the Black Sea, followed by a low-altitude flyover of the city. This is my favorite photo from that little detour.
#2 Suleiman Too in Fall
Here’s a shot I got while climbing Suleiman Too of the mountain, the mosque, and a lot of women going down the Fertility Slide. Another spectacular day when I took some friends up the mountain.
#3 TezJet Fish-Eye
I’ve been enjoying playing around with a new fisheye lens that I bought for my iPhone. It doesn’t take the BEST photos, but they still look pretty cool. This is a photo from the window of the TezJet of the spectacular mountains during my flight last month.
#4 Sunset and Smog
Sunset through the smog of Osh, Kyrgyzstan along my walk home. In the late fall, many people here fire up their coal stoves to heat their homes and burn the fallen leaves, creating a low-lying layer of smog that creates these kinds of amazing views of the mountains and sunsets.
#5 Snow and Suleiman-Too
A view from my neighborhood of our beautiful city’s symbol, Suleiman Too.
#6 Yak-40 Under Snow
We had 5 days of nonstop snow in mid-November. This is what our park looked like on the first day of sun after.
#7 City Under Snow
Seeing Osh under so much snow brought so much joy to my heart. Because it’s so “warm” here during the winter, we don’t get a lot of snow, and what does fall tends to melt quickly. So it’s a treat to have views like this even for just a few days.
#8 Suleiman Too With Snow This Time
Same photo as before, but with snow and ice this time. Much prettier in my opinion!
#9 Playing In The Snow
My neighbors’ kids love the snow, and so they came out to play in the street.
#10 More Kids In The Snow
Because children smiling in the snow makes every November better.
