It’s the end of the month, and as a part of a new blogging and photography goal I’ve set for myself with BloggingAbroad, I’ve been taking photos based on prompts (and just from life in general), and I wanted to share a few with you! Take a look, read about it, and click to enlarge if you want to see more closely.
#1 Famous
In early December, I got to go with some friends to a concert that featured all of the top pop stars of Kyrgyzstan right here in Osh. Thanks to a little connection, I got snuck backstage, where I scared the living daylights out of (L to R) Max Sadyrbekov, Cholpon Talipbek, Mirbek Atabekov, and Nurlan Nasip.
#2 Snow
As I emerged from a 21 hour overnight ordeal in the Osh Airport, I was greeted with a spectacular winter wonderland.
#3 More Snow
#4 More-er Snow
#5 Rematch
Mid-December brought me to the Asian Championships of Toguz Korgool. In this photo, one of my favorites, I am playing against Serik Aktayev, one of the very best players in the world and also a really nice guy!
#6 Flag Bearer
For the opening ceremony of the Asian Championships, I got to carry the American flag.
#7 International Friendship
Officials and participants from Uzbekistan, USA, Iran, China, and Kazakhstan take a photo together.
#8 Mark And Bobby Are Way Too Serious
We get pretty into this game sometimes…
#9 Snowerer
This may be my favorite photo I’ve ever taken in Osh.
#10 Happy New Year
From Lenin and the people of Osh, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year‘s holiday, with many entertaining holiday movies, and I wish you much success in 2017!
